#BeforeCorona hit, I had gathered all of the supplies to create a vision board for my personal new year (my bday that just passed in March (which will go down as the shittiest month of our generation)). I didn’t expect to be making a vision board under these circumstances. And part of me felt silly and self indulgent to be envisioning a future when I have no idea what things are going to look like after covid-19 is through with us. And even though the world is shifting, and it definitely will not go back to the way it was— I hope that we can shape a better and more equitable future for ourselves after this is all over. Day-dreaming of the last time I traveled back in December. Feels like forever ago. 🌌 I've been in a bit of a slump the last couple days. Super low motivation, extremely tired, and overall sense of unease/anxiety about things. I think my body was finally processing everything happening. And it sucks, because this isn't really me at all. 🌌 But today, I decided that I wasn't going to let that same energy continue on. I showered, I started my first day of my meditation course, took a walk outside, cooked, did yoga.. I got back into my routine that I've been neglecting for the last week or so. 🌌 I think I've learned that in order to keep going, I have to accept that there are A LOT of things I won't have control over. And that there's no use in dwelling or second guessing everything. I have to continue to put good energy into myself, send good energy out into the universe and roll with the punches as they come. 🌌 I imagine I'm not the only one dealing with these emotions. Have tofu, frozen cauliflower rice mix and spices? This recipe if for you. Tofu and Shitaki Mushroom 🍄 stir-fry -Place a pan on medium heat. -Add 1 Tbsp. Olive oil -Add one package of super firm tofu (I love Wildwood or Hodo) - chopped into cubes -Add chopped fresh shitaki or trader jose frozen mix mushrooms with garlic (around 1.2 to 2 cups raw), one package of diced cauliflower mix -Chop two small oranges 🍊 or mandarins and add to pan. -Mix in: 2 tsp. coconut cream, 2 tsp. fish sauce, around 1/2 Tbsp or 1 Tbsp. mushroom powder, 1/2 Tbsp. Red chili flake, 1 Tbsp. garlic 🧄 powder -Let it all cook on medium heat for about 10-15 minutes or until fully cooked and most of the moisture from the cauli rice has evaporated. -Served up with some roasted garnet sweet potatoes from the toaster oven. 🙌🏻 Easy but filled with a ton of flavor and a good play on sweet, salty, savory and sour.

At the beginning of 2020 Australia was faced with bushfires.These bushfires affected many people's homes, health, their security, their business, the environment, nature, wildlife (4 energy). The bushfires took the world by storm, they went global in many ways (compassion/support/pollution) & through the hard work & persistence (4 energy) by those who utilised their social media platforms with purpose, resources & enormous funds were raised to support those in need (4 energy). Due to our lack of rainfall, water restrictions were put in place. The doubling of the 20 in 2020 brings about the water element, the 4 energy brings about the restriction. Soon after we were blessed with major rainfall levels (20 energy) which supported many & alleviated the pressures of non-existent dam levels.The 2020 water element in this case supported the environment.The year 2020 brings about restriction because of the presence of the 4. The bushfires brought about restriction to stay put, stay home or for some restricting them to their cars mid way to safety, the lack of rainfall had us apply water restrictions & now due to the "C19" word we are being restricted to either home or work both of which relate to the 4 energy.We are being blessed with time at home to rest, organise our homes, to spend time on ourselves & quality time with out families, to not be in a rush, to be spending time internally & less focus externally. The rate at which some were abusing their systems to function at was not healthy. Our routines are changing, we are being given the opportunity to realign our values, to prioritise & strengthen our foundations. This screams 4 energy through & through.April will be a testing month.I believe many things hidden will be exposed.I have always been a firm believer that whatever is stagnant will receive a rude awakening for improvement, to better the foundation so it can not crumble again.

Last month we gave away Forbidden Island in our Facebook Community Group. Boudica- Card & Board Games Community UK.. A big hit with our 7 year old daughter. She loves co op games. A bit too simple for my taste but worked well as a family game. In Forbidden Island players take turns moving their pawns around the 'island', which is built by arranging the many beautifully screen-printed tiles before play begins. As the game progresses, more and more island tiles sink, becoming unavailable, and the pace increases. Players use strategies to keep the island from sinking, while trying to collect treasures and items. As the water level rises, it gets more difficult- sacrifices must be made. With multiple levels of difficulty, different characters to choose from (each with a special ability of their own), many optional island formats and game variations available, Forbidden Island has huge replay value. The game can be played by as few as two players and up to four (though it can accommodate five). More players translates into a faster and more difficult game, though the extra help can make all the difference. There was a time in my life where right now would of sucked for me, but…. To be honest, these uncertain times have mentally been quite easy for me, don’t feel like I am effected that much except financially. I’ve been asking myself why, is there something wrong with my emotions, am I not an empathetic person, do I even care? But then I realised this... I’ve had a shit load of uncertainty in my life. ⏺ In relationships, not knowing if that other person loved me / never having any support from them, the feeling of “they’ll leave me if I don’t have X” ⏺ In my job / career, not knowing where my next bit of business will come from to pay rent. ⏺ Financially, been so behind in rent and bills and wondered how the fuck Ima pay dis. ⏺ in my university studies, too anxious and depressed and continuously failing from my dad and sister passing away. BUT... The thing is, having uncertainty does not make you resilient to it. I got to the point around 7 years ago, about a year after my dad and little sister passed away, holding in emotions, not dealing with my mental health, grief or trauma where I was sitting in hospital at 3am because of a psychotic / panic attack for me to say to myself, “Fuck this I ain’t living my life like this” And do something about it! Learn the practical skills: 1️⃣ Embrace uncertainty and LOVE IT. 2️⃣ Learn to stay centred and grounded in stressful and uncertain times. 3️⃣ Learn to make opportunities and move forward out of stressful and uncertain times. 4️⃣ Learn tools to not let your external environment (whats going on around you), effect your internal environment (whats going on in your head) Guess what the number 1 thing for me personally in doing this was… MEDITATION, MINDFULNESS. That simple. Sit down, breathe, become aware of your breath, become aware of and sit with your emotions, thoughts and feelings, learn how to effectively share and express your emotions to other people.
