One of my favorite photos from my time in Europe. The famous Matterhorn peak, enveloped in a perfect field of white as a winter storm rolled through Valais. This shot is one of the photos available for print on my newly updated website. Order on or before the 10th to receive your ready to hang fine art print before Christmas! Link in bio. // the The Matterhorn is one of the most iconic looking mountains in the world and I travelled to Zermatt specifically to photograph it. I was up high on a ridge the next valley over, watching this storm roll in towards the peak. I set up my camera and waited. The sheet of white snow and clouds enveloped the peak and I snapped this frame. I looked down for a couple seconds to check this shot on the back of my camera and by the time I looked up the mountain was completely gone from view and I could see nothing but white, and a couple minutes later I was walking through a blizzard. I love being able to capture these split second moments and freeze them in time, and I think it resulted in one of the most clean, unique, and contemporary photos I have in my portfolio.
