In the past few weeks creating has changed a lot for me. It’s no longer so consumed with trying to make my work “Instagram worthy”. Art isn’t meant to be perfect, and in the lines, but an honest expression of what’s in the creator’s head. Sometimes that might be inspired by a photograph, an emotion/thought, someone else’s story, and yes, it might even be by others creators. So many different things can spark ideas.
What if it’s the most honest, and true to yourself work that makes you, and others come to life the most. Fitting in the lines may carry a success of its own, but maybe it’s not as rewarding as being real to who you are.
Creating is going to look different for everyone. Don’t feel like you need your work to fit in to a certain box. Your work doesn’t need to blend in to be beautiful.
not made to look like the rest.
lovely even when you feel less than the best.
there is no mark you need to reach,
in order to measure up to true beauty.
while it takes time to love who you are,
your worth will never change,
even through life’s scars.
Sincerely, Danielle Nicole
