So I've been training pretty hard, yesterday I did weighted torsonator lunges, weighted squats, kettle bell swings, weighted donkey kickbacks, pump sets of chest press and lat pull down straight arm for core, then went for a huge walk, then did 7 rounds of kickboxing, and some yoga after that, for all the new people to the page, I have done 5 discs in my back and had a hip reconstruction, so I was told I'd never do those things again, but i have trained myself back to a really good place. Its the 1st time I've done so much leg work in one day, that wasnt all in one session, and I pulled up sore today in my back. So with the help of these little guys and hot bath, this afternoon, all the pain was gone and we only worked on my legs, then I slept for an hour straight after. Often when your back is playing up, it can be from tight leg muscles, so today was my day off anyway, so I spent it doing school work. I may have hit shoulders a little too lol Point is, get yourself some Epsom salts have a bath, and as pain full as it is that rolling pin is amazing. Heute gibt es einen Beitrag zum #transformationtuesdays. 😊 Links ist ein Bild nach meiner ersten Abnahme, da wog ich 71kg. Rechts ist ein Bild mit meinem Startgewicht von 100kg. . . Wie ich in einem anderen Post schon erwähnt habe, hatte ich mein ganzes Leben lang Probleme mit Übergewicht, ich war eigentlich nie wirklich dünn. Jedoch habe ich während meiner pubertärenden Zeit ohne Probleme abgenommen, bis ich dann wieder in eine sehr, sehr schweren Depression gerutscht bin. Ich fing an zu hungern, nahm Abführmittel und erbrach mein Essen, da man mir trotzdem immer einredete, dass ich immernoch zu fett sei, nicht gut genug sei und ich mein Spiegelbild nicht mehr ertragen konnte. Ich litt unter meinem Spiegelbild und der Selbsthass machte mich von innen kaputt, ich hatte Angst wieder dicker zu werden. So mit kam ich auf mein Tiefsgewicht von 70kg und man diagnostizierte bei mir #Bulimie Aber dann ging es nach hinten los, mein Körper konnte und wollte nicht mehr. Ich fing wieder an zu Essen! Ich aß und aß, ich stopfte mir von Tag zu Tag immer mehr Essen rein. Ich ging nicht mehr raus, ich schließte mich in mein Zimmer ein. Ich aß immer alleine, ich konnte nicht vor anderen Menschen essen, da ich mich geschämt habe. In dieser Zeit bekam ich die Diagnose #bingeeating . Inzwischen habe ich meine jahrelangen Depressionen soweit bekämpft, dass ich jetzt hier stehe und sagen kann:"Ich bin gut, sowie ich bin!❤". Ich gehe wieder gerne zur Schule, ich liebe meine Arbeit. Ich gehe meine Hobbys wieder nach, ich verbringe wieder Zeit mit Freunden und Familie. 2017 vs. beginning of 2020 I honestly have no words for this. The fight was a really hard struggle but i made it. Here's the thing: You won't be happier when you're skinny. You are not supposed to lose weight. You are not a number on a scale. You are worth it to recover and to eat. You don't have to 'deserve' food. No food is the cause of weight gain, no food is 'bad'. (All about the calorie surplus or deficit!!!!) It's not a good feeling when your bones are hurting just by sitting on a chair. You don't lose control if you gain weight and recover. You win of life and happiness. And especially a healthy body! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Always believe in yourself, no matter what it is. You can do it. ⁣ ⁣ Now is not the time to add more pressure to anyone by judging the level (or lack) of ‘productivity.’ There is an emotional and mental strain this isolation is putting on everyone, much less those that already experience mental health struggles daily! I feel like I'm barely holding it together and no, there's not anything anyone can do about it or any way to *help.* It just IS what it IS for now. ⁣ ⁣ Many of the things beyond prescription drug treatments, promoted for positive mental health, are currently limited: don’t isolate (duh), eat nutritious food (now limited options), get outdoors (practically illegal).⁣ ⁣ All my normal go-to *coping strategies* are out the window right now. I'm here with only two of my darlings, flying solo, feeling extra vulnerable. Having to be intentional to fight off feelings of fear.⁣ ⁣ Many people ARE still working regular hours away and at home. Added to the pressure of your entire family being home 24/7 and all their needs-whew!!!⁣ ⁣ I am beyond grateful for the support I've received from the circle of friends I've made more locally-little things like offering toiletries, looking for products on groceries runs and being socially available.⁣ ⁣ Grace and compassion seems the most appropriate response during this situation.⁣ No-I don’t have extra free time to work on my great American novel!! Try to reframe your mind to find the positives. use this time as an opportunity to grow and evolve. Rather than complain you are bored or binge watch Netflix, set some goals. Get fit, create a diet plan, do ANYTHING THAT MOVES YOU FORWARD! Where we are in 12 months is determined by what we do today. Set some goals and then go after them. Shield 10-on-10 with The Butternut Co Active Rest Day 1. Make sure you foam roll yourself for about 20-30 mins covering different muscle groups. Stay on each trigger point for abt 60-120 secs. 2. Those who dont have a foam roller make sure you stretch yourself. Do two stretches for each muscle group and hold each stretch for abt 30-45 secs min. 3. Make sure you do your mobility drills and get your joints all opened up for tomorrow's workout. 4. Your Body is made up of 70% water. So make sure you hydrate yourself with atleast 3 litres of water. Good Hydration means your muscles and fascia are well hydrated and supple. They wont stiffen up. So Hydrate Hydrate amd Hydrate 5. Movement- Human body is made for movement. Active Rest means you will try and achieve minimum of 5000 steps in the house. I know its not easy during the lockdown but make the effort and move your bodies. THREAT circle: I predict the majority of you will have got to know this circle well over the last few weeks & can easily recall a recent time that has stirred up some uncomfortable emotions. Use this post to reflect on what's been going on for you in this circle. Remember the purpose of this emotional system is to keep us alive, to detect perceived threats & direct our reactions to them. It works on the sympathetic nervous system which activates to defend you by either the fight/flight response or freeze response. What this looks like differs between people based on their social experiences & history. . How do you feel, think & behave when your threat circle is dominating? Look down this list and identify any that are familiar to you. Be sure to read the WARNING afterwards. . 🚶‍♀️Body/feelings 🔸Tense muscles 🔹Heart rate increase 🔸Dry mouth 🔹"Butterflies” 🔸Afraid 🔹Pressure to Act 🔸Anger 🔹Disgust . Often we see a conflict of emotions in this circle, for example anger shows up but it's actually blocking an underlying sadness or anxiety. . 🏃‍♂️Behaviour 🔸Actively avoid situations that bring up emotions 🔹Keep your head down & withdraw from others 🔸Try to appease people to make things better 🔹Zone out/cut off or hide any emotion (this often can involve eating, drinking or exercise to cut off) 🔸Show aggression 🔹Cry/ shout/scream (distress calling) 🔸Seek protection & reassurance from others . 🧠Attention/Thinking 🔹Become focused only on the threat (e.g. watching the news on repeat) 🔸Scan the environment searching for threats 🔹Unable to think clearly/ have a thinking block 🔸Become overly rational 🔹Attribute blame (either to yourself or others) . WARNING: our threat system is hugely important to us & we would not be alive without it. The key here is to get to know how it shows up for you, however, feelings of shame, self criticism & self attacking can occur if we don't like some of the responses we show in this system.
