With pasta, for example, you don't need to cut it out of your diet like many of us do when we want to eat well. Then pretty high up there are drumstick lollies and refreshers. Swizzled is up there. So when I heard My Protein we’re releasing a range with them...happy days! . This is definitely one to be shaken, not stirred - as evidenced by the following slides. I tried stirring. It tuned into a floaty, lumpy, mess. I tried shaking. It turned into a slightly more dissolved floaty, lumpy mess. Finally I attacked it with my blender and THAT did the trick. The texture of this is weird. It developed a foam on top. Those of you familiar with a good quality French or pornstar martini will know this texture. Very soft and bubbly. Almost like a light milkshake. The bottom half separated into a slightly clearer, watery affair. The flavour is yummy! It really tastes like love hearts. It took a little getting used to as this isn’t the typical texture you associate with love hearts, but it was nice! . One 25g sachet contains: Calories: 92 Fat: 0.1g Saturated Fat:0g Carbohydrates: 1.1g Sugar: 0.3g Protein: 20g As usual for most protein powders this is mainly protein. Hurrah! . Let’s face it, this is a gimmick. It’s nostalgic and it’s cute. It’s different and while I may not use it every day I would consider ordering a drum of 10 servings for £14.99. I like the fact that this is intended for use with water. Meaning that, unlike most protein powders, the desired texture is reached with no extra calories. OH MY OH MY. 🍪 PROTEIN CHOC CHIP COOKIES. INGREDIENTS: 256g Plain Flour 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder 1/2 Tsp Maldon Sea Salt 75g Choc Chips 50g @myproteinuk Unflavoured Protein 150g Coconut Sugar 65g Olive Oil 60g Water METHOD: 1️⃣Combine flour, baking powder, protein and salt. Add chocolate chips and coat in the mixture 2️⃣In a separate bowl add coco sugar, oil & water and mix until smooth. 3️⃣Add wet mixture to dry mixture and mix until just combined. Don’t over do it. 4️⃣Leave dough to rest for 30-40 minutes and then roll into small balls (14-16). Add to greased baking tray or line with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden round the edges. These little babies contain about 5g Protein each!

ETHIOPIAN FOOD TONIGHT! There is a pretty large Ethiopian community in the DMV area, so we had no problem getting our hands on some Berbere spice and injera (the bread). Injera is made from teff flour and is fermented! I love it because it has the sour flavor, like sourdough bread! It is also gluten free 😎 I also didn’t add oil to any of the stews. This meal was packed with protein, fiber, and flavor! Yum 🙌 🇪🇹
