Meet Traveler Christopher!
The universe had been asking me to talk to Chris before I even traveled to the Maldives in November, and while I was there his name flowed through my pen into my journal telling me to talk to him. I didn't know exactly why, but it was not to be ignored.
We met on our yoga mats a couple years ago @thecollectiveattruenorth in Detroit, and other than a fun stroll through the streets of a Detroit on Cinqo de Mayo with our wonderful friend @monicacrystalrz, we didn't know much about each other. Once he and I hopped on a call, I was blown away by what he has created and shared with his life and I'm so excited to see what happens when he and we connect more deeply with the awesome people and nature in the Maldives. ✨
Here are his words from our team's GoFundMe page:)
My name is Christopher, a senior architectural designer located in downtown Detroit.
Christopher has been practicing architecture for nine years with experience in Sustainable Urban Planning & Design, Expo Exhibit & Set Design Fabrication, and Retail / Mixed-use Design. During his Masters program at Lawrence Technological University, Christopher won the Earl W. Pellerin Traveling Fellowship research grant which lead him to India to research "Vernacular Architecture". In an attempt to better understand "Place", how architecture can be utilized as a tool to reflect cultures, climates and social needs, Christopher has also participated in several design workshops across the world including Shanghai, Tirana, and New Delhi. Outside of architecture, Christopher has a big heart and passion for all things nature, sustainability, community co-op involvements, volunteering with Camp Quality, expanding his practice on the mat, keeping active on the pitch and exploring the city of Detroit through the wheels of his Salsa Journeyman."
✨🌍 Here we are, world! Let us be vessels for beauty, balance, and love. #weareone #travelingwithpurpose #maldives #detroit #connection
*Stay tuned for intros to the other earth-changing travelers who will be together in Maldives this April*
