📌 PINTEREST TIP: Convert to a business account!
Want to get Pinterest working for your courses, services, or coaching programs? One of the *simplest* steps you can take toward that goal is to start a business account with Pinterest.
First, decide if you will:
> Start a brand new business account, or
> Convert your current personal account to a business account.
Many of my clients have a definite reaction when offered this decision.
Some are SURE they want to have two separate accounts. (Often they change their minds once we discuss it!)
Others are SURE they want to have only one account to manage, but they worry about having displaying private or off-brand pins. (Hello, you with the 86 pins about how to use hot rollers! 💁♀️💁♀️💁♀️💁♀️💁♀️)
I like to make the decision pretty easy for them.
My belief is that if one or more of these is true, you should CONSIDER converting your current personal account to a business account:
1) You have more than 25 followers in your niche
2) You have more than 10 on-brand pins pointing to your content
3) You have more than 10 on-brand boards that have 20-ish or more pins.
It’s very easy to convert your account (like, soooo easy – it takes just a minute) and then you will have access to analytics, rich pins, and other great features.
Once you convert to a business account, you can quickly make “secret” any boards that are off-brand. This is a quick toggle on button under “edit” for each board...
… So, you’ll still have easy access to “Non-Dairy Dog Ice Cream Recipes,” “Fashion Ideas for Mike,” and “Strapless Bras” … but your prospective clients won’t see them. ;) 🐶 🍦 👔 👙
