DAY 17: Body awareness. ⁣ Sit down in a quiet and private space, take a few deeps breaths then just watch your breath flowing in and out. Just notice if you feel any discomfort. Maybe you have to make some adjustments. Is your mind racing? That’s OK. Get back to your breath. Now place your hand on your head, say “I love you”, then go to each part of your body and say “I love you”. Keep on doing it as many times as you want. Notice the resistance, notice the emotions, maybe there is sadness. Maybe things come up. Once you are done a journal about the experience. Didn’t feel anything? Do it again, your body is keeping you alive every day - so no matter how you feel right now, we can change the way we connect to our bodies. We just have to start slowly and get back to being one with our body

Someone once told me “you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do”. Oh but I do. . There are consequences when we don’t do the things we don’t want to do. I want a clean house, I have to pick up a vacuum and start the dishwasher. I want a toned body, gotta put in the reps at the gym and switch out the burgers for a few carrot sticks. I want clean clothes, time to put the laundry in. I want to build a 6 figure income from my home, it’s time to put in the work and show up even when I “don’t want to”. And I guess technically I don’t have to do anything I don’t want to do. But I want a better future than that. One that takes sacrifice and hustle and a little bit of grit. So what’s one thing today that you don’t want to do, but maybe takes some sacrifice for the life you want to live? The Kobe Bryant’s of the world, the Steve Jobs, the Oprah’s and the Ellen’s. They never got anywhere without putting in the work most people simply will not do.

Are you happy with where you are and what your doing? Think about it. . Do you find yourself a target for negative thoughts and just think bad things just happen to you. Do you find yourself getting irritated easy for things you don’t have control of. I know 🙋🏼‍♂️I’m guilty of that sometimes. . Don’t let things that are out of your control take advantage of your emotions. If you do have control over it and aren’t taking the necessary actions to help improve the situation then you really can’t blame anyone but yourself for your unhappiness. . It’s hard to focus on the positive side when we are in a negative mindset. I have found that when I was eating like crap and avoiding physical activities I was much more prone to being triggered by stupid things that really don’t matter. So I started making time to cook more nutritious meals. Turned of Netflix and read some personal development. Put down the video games and started to lift some weights and get outside more. . I’m not saying that that’s the answer for everyone but when I put my health first and stopped focusing on anything that wasn’t improving my life. Things got a whole lot better. It’s simple really if it’s important to you, you will find the time. It’s not that you don’t have the time it’s that it’s not a priority yet. What’s stopping you from being happy and what are you gonna do about it?

I was listening to new songs on the Indie Invaders Playlist. That’s what I like to do, walk and think. Today, I thought about our brains. I recently read the brain is just four inches of sponge, yet it contains our memories, our reasoning, affections, knowledge, imaginations, and all of our emotions. It processes thoughts, appetites, our deepest longings and secret fears. Its voice keeps us company during the day through the subconscious, and it feeds us untold dreams in the night. It contains the conscience, communicates speech, and processes tastes and smells and that which we touch. It calculates distances when we step and reach, as well as receiving images from our eyes and sounds from our ears. I dunno, but whoever created the mind is pretty brilliant, I mean the most brilliant person who ever existed.

yo i am sooo scared to post about this 😂⁣ ⁣ here we go⁣ ⁣ i’ve been gaining weight⁣ ⁣ and i’m actually prettyyy excited about it ⁣ ⁣ i’m learning to love myself no matter what⁣ ⁣ i’m learning what healthy FEELS like to me, not just looks like⁣ ⁣ about a year ago i was really struggling with my health.⁣ ⁣ i felt terrible, all the time. light headed, not sleeping well, my digestion was uncomfortably sporadic (yes i'm talking about poop), i needed caffeine to get through my day....⁣ ⁣ can you relate?⁣ ⁣ i knew i was too skinny for my frame. ⁣ ⁣ but no matter what i did i could not seem to gain weight. ⁣ ⁣ turns out it was my environment. i was too stressed out, constantly. ⁣ ⁣ my body was telling me something was wrong. ⁣ ⁣ and it took me almost a year to decipher the message.⁣ ⁣ change can be hard. most times i don't want to face it. ⁣ ⁣ and if i've learned anything, it is that resistance only makes it harder.⁣ ⁣ have you ever done this too? ignored something you knew needed to change?⁣ ⁣ when i trusted and took the leap, the change that came was incredibly positive. ⁣ ⁣ i won't say it was easy, because it wasn't. but it has been SO worth it.⁣ ⁣ not only have i reached a healthy weight, i FEEL 100 times better in my day to day.⁣ ⁣ i have more energy, i feel stronger, my digestion is regular, and i sleep like a baby. ⁣ ⁣ stress does crazy things to your body. ⁣ ⁣ maybe for you it looks like you can't lose weight. ⁣ ⁣ every body, and how it reacts, is different⁣ ⁣ i challenge you to be honest with yourself about where you are right now. because that's the only way it's going to improve.⁣ ⁣ and practice compassion for yourself. you're doing the best you can with what you have. and that's pretty damn amazing. ⁣ ⁣ but it doesn't mean it can't get better. ⁣ ⁣ choose to make the leap for YOU and it will lead you to some amazing places.⁣ ⁣ what's a change you're wanting to make? let me know below⁣ ⁣ and if you need guidance getting there, my inbox is always open. you got this 💪🏼

And there are so many factors...everyone is different!⠀ ⠀ My mindset around food as helped so much! ⠀ What if you think about adding foods, rather than taking foods away??⠀ ⠀ Try adding more vegetables to your plate...naturally you will eat less processed foods.⠀ Try adding more water...naturally you will drink less of the sugary drinks.⠀ By default we don’t have room for the not so ideal foods!⠀ ⠀ No one is taking all of my favorite foods away. It’s a choice! I can have them when I want them but when I think about how great my energy is or my digestion is then I tend to choose the lean meats and veggies most of the time. That’s what makes it a lifestyle. That’s what makes it sustainable!⠀ ⠀ Simple mindset shifts can be powerful...add in vs. take away! ⠀ Think about it...what’s one thing you can ADD in?

🌹Many think think that because they are not perfect,skilled or experienced at doing something before they start, it’s best not to start at all. ⁣ ⁣ 🌹The brains survival process gets the mind stuck in this stage of “ not being good enough” so it avoids going into the unknown to begin something that feels “challenging”.⁣ ⁣ 🌹It starts with accepting that you are enough today to start building on your goals/dreams.⁣ ⁣ 🌹Practice allowing yourself to be okay with the truth that at first you won’t be the best. It’s supposed to be that way, everything is a process. ⁣ ⁣ 🌹Consistently working on your craft, you will develop or strengthen the necessary skills to become great... even up to one of the best at it-with your unique touch to the field🙃 ⁣ 🌹We only get 1 life & a certain amount of time; invest it in what makes you feel alive. ⁣ ⁣ 🌹Happy Building🌹
