10 years ago, we ran a relay together. We were not the favorites. As a matter of fact, we weren’t in the conversation to place. But we came together, and pulled off an upset. Hands down, my favorite sports moment of my entire athletic career. But I want you to see something here: we have four people here born in four different areas. We grew up in different cultures, we had different skin color, and our racial identification was not the same. But we came together to do something special.
Imagine the things we can do as a city, a state, a nation, and on earth when we are unified. So many things are happening right now. My heart goes out to everyone that is suffering, especially the Floyd family. It hurts me so much to see what is happening. Violence is not the answer. Division is not the answer. Destruction will not bring peace. Love is the answer. Let’s peaceful protest. Let’s love our neighbor as ourselves. Let’s leave this world a better place for generations to come. Stand for righteousness & justice.
Let’s all come together, and continue to fight and win this war against racism. We will live out Dr. King’s dream of not treating people by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. We will stand together, and we will do great things. “Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.” 1 Peter 3:8 NIV
Let’s go and change the world!!! #BlackLivesMatter #Unity #Peace #Love #LetsGetIt
