Tandoori Salmon 🐟
. . .
If you know me, you know I love love love seafood. And currently my freezer is stocked with so much of it. Everyday I'm experimenting with new recipes, and this one right here is probably my best one so far. This has all the feels of Tandoori chicken or kebabs. Also, it's a no fuss recipe ready to eat in minutes.
I made this on a cast iron pan to save time. But I think it makes it tastier too. If you don't have one then you could bake it or just use any other pan.
Recipe : - Marinate salmon in yogurt with masalas of your choice (I didn't have Tandoori masala so used chicken Masala, coriander, cumin, turmeric and red chilli powder. If you want it to be more red, add Deggi mirch or smoked paprika. - Add salt, crushed black pepper, oil, lemon juice and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. - Heat a cast iron pan, add mustard oil (gives it a fantastic taste) and bring to smoking point. Substitute with other oils if mustard oil isn't available. - Gently place the fish fillets and fry on both sides till cooked. Flip only once and be gentle to avoid fish from breaking. - Cooking time will depend on thickness of fillet. But remember fish cooks really fast. As soon as the fish turns opaque, remove from pan. - Serve with mint yogurt and pickled onions
