Yesterday’s workout had me feeling some sort of way — feels so good to be lifting heavy again and really getting after it when I’m at the gym. I go during my lunch break most days, which leaves me only about 40 minutes for my workout, since I have to count the time it takes me to drive there and shower. Occasionally I go after work, but for the most part, I get it done during the day. It’s a perfect pick-me-up in the middle of my day and totally increases my productivity when I get back to the office. It’s always sad when the 40 minutes is up, but I always feel so good after.
Point being: you don’t need to spend HOURS at the gym. Hell, you don’t even need to spend a full hour. If you’re programming right and getting you heart rate up, you’re still getting your medicine. No workout is too short — it’s much better than no workout at all! What’s important is getting out there and getting it done, especially if you’re just beginning your journey.
