I generally tend to support activism. I mean - it is great when people speak up for human or animal rights. BUT...why is there almost always some "but", tho...🤔
What I find truly disgusting in any sort of activism is when it comes from people, who are generally mean as fuck. I will clarify my point on one simple example: I know several (oh well, a lot, actually) people who are convinced vegetarians/vegans, they don`t eat meat principally and are all the way cruelty free BUT at the same time they don`t mind being cruel to people around them, as they lie, manipulate, humiliate, act arrogant and talk shit about other people behind their backs. This is very hypocritical, isn`t it? In such case I see their convinced veganism as a sort of indulgence, like "as long as I am a vegetarian I will never be a full-time asshole!". So yes, to sum up what I have just written - in my opinion if you stand for not eating animals or fight for human rights please make sure you are saint-like kind and pure-hearted, otherwise you just taint this whole idea of activism!😠
PS. to prove my point lemme remind you that Hitler was a vegetarian, and the most harsh animal rights laws were adopted in Nazi Germany. Just FYI, ok?
