1. Drink more water at least 7-10 cups a day:
Your skin is the largest organ in your body, and it’s mostly made up of water. Without water, your skin can’t function at its best. If your skin doesn’t get enough water, not only will it become dry, tight, and flaky, but it will also become even more prone to aging. Your body loses large quantities of water every day, so if you don’t replace it by drinking more water, your skin will suffer the consequences.
2. 7-9 hours of deep restful sleep:
Skin can focus on repairing itself while you sleep since it isn’t defending itself from sun and free radicals (harmful molecules from the environment) while you are awake. Your body boosts blood flow to the skin while you snooze, which means you wake to a healthy glow.
3. Use sunscreen & sunglasses:
UVA rays are most commonly associated with skin aging; these beams cause fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots that make skin look prematurely older. UVA rays have the ability to pass through glass, meaning your skin is exposed to them while you are driving and standing or sitting in front of windows with the blinds open. Wearing sunglasses whenever possible also prevents over squinting and making expression lines deeper. It also protects your dashing eyes. 😎
4. Swap out soap for a gentle skin cleanser
Most soaps can strip away natural oils of your skin, not thoroughly clean pores and also have synthetic chemicals that can harm the face's sensitive epidermis (your first layer of skin). A better alternative would be a liquid cleanser that is free of parabens and preservatives AND contains vitamins, antioxidants, and skin-nourishing oils.
5. Take your Collagen with Vitamin C:
Collagen makes up 80% of your skin's structure, which provides firmness and strength. As we age, our collagen production decreases. In order for maximum absorption and production of Collagen, it is important to add Vitamin C to your diet. Along with its antioxidant functions, Vitamin C is an essential vitamin for Collagen synthesis (along with Zinc & copper).
