HOW TIGHT ARE YOUR LATS? One of the roles of the lats is to assist in extending the arm. If, overtime the muscle has shortened, then it’s easy to see how this could be a problem (particularly with overhead exercises). The lats have a big role in assisting OH exercises, such as an OH press. If they’re unable to do their job, then there has to be sone sort of compensation. That compensation will normally involve an exaggerated arch of the lower back and / or flaring of the rib cage. . Try this simple test that will help to identify potential tightness in your lats, as well as helping to identify any imbalances between left and right. . Sit the hips and lower back flat into a wall. The idea is to maintain this position throughout (particularly through the lower back) whilst keeping the rib cage down. . Keeping your arms straight (thumbs up), raise OH until your thumbs make contact with the wall. Try to avoid going too wide with your arms. . If you struggle to maintain contact with your back to the wall and / or if your rib cage flares disproportionately, then it’s a pretty good indicator for tight lats. . Another point to look for is the balance between each side. Is for example one thumb reaching the wall much sooner than the other? Or can one touch and the other not? This would be an indication that there is an imbalance, which will require some work. . The great news is that it’s fairly easy to fix. Some regular mobility and stretching work should help to alleviate this. Which should then result in better OH performance, as well as reduced shoulder pain. Watch video, pay attention: Flexed feet, knees extended with quads, heels on floor, wide legs. Lift waist, wide shoulders& collarbones, flat ribs. Keep pelvis& legs in place as you move. Inhaling into sides& back’s of ribs lengthening spine& rotate. Exhaling, contract ribs&belly, place front arm outside little toe, lift back arm, turn head. Inhaling into backs of ribs, stay. Now exhale 3 times, contract ribs& belly and ”saw” further down. Inhaling rise up lengthening, repeat other side. 😪Сегодня я хотел вам рассказать, об не очень приятной теме про «Мои плечи»,👀плечи для меня больная тема.😅Посколько с плечами, я занимаюсь меньше всего потому что у меня были 🤕травмы и физические и психологические,😫однажды во время тренировки я порвал себе мышцу в плече – а это боль, адская и невыносимая,🤬к тому же была травмирована ключица. Been doing #duncanyoga10day for almost a week now, and am picking up little pieces of wisdom each day. My favourite thus far though would have to be about Tapas - Inner Fire - Discipline: It must be deeply rooted in love not punishment. You will not always be motivated but you must learn to be disciplined. Allow your inner fire to burn away resistance, and accept the pain or discomfort that leads the transformation. Transformation loading... 🌙

ПОДГОТОВКА К ЧЕМПИОНАТУ МИРА 2019...⠀ ⠀ Было очень приятно быть частью этого тренировочного этапа... Из 8 личниц 4 претендовали на ЧМ. Но любая сборница знает, что такое быть рядом в этот важный подготовительный этап. ⠀ Девочкам приходилось очень тяжело. Но для меня этот период остался одним из самых любимых. ⠀ Это тренировки во Дворце Спорта, это смена привычной обстановки, это работа с любимыми тренерами, это была одна из лучших моих форм, это контрольные тренировки, на которые приезжали дети из Киевских школ. ⠀ Слава Богу, что я научилась "ловить момент" и кайфовать здесь и сейчас. Я его ловила, понимая, что я работаю в таком зале...⠀ И спасибо, что эти моменты запечатлены 📷
