One thing you do have to do is focus on portion control. Enjoying your favourite snack is all fun and games until you go to grab the next chip and you realize that the bag is empty! Making sure you portion your snacks is important so that not only do you curb your craving but your not going overboard with your treats, and you’re leaving some space for your lunch/dinner! . . If you’re a chip fiend like I am, I usually will portion chips into a ziplock snack bag, and those will be my snacks for the day I decide to snack. . . . As long as you’re remaining active each day whether it’s a walk, the gym, sports, etc. A little snack every other day won’t hurt! . . GRATITUDE... So initially, this was going to be me on a high horse saying “if I can, you can” because: 🔥full-time working mom 🔥60 minute total daily commute 🔥part-time graduate student 🔥workout 5 times weekly 🔥walk 2 dogs daily 🔥get my baby his breakfast bottle EVERY morning 🔥get my baby his bedtime routine EVERY night 🔥spend quality time with husband 🔥socialize with friends • Yeah. That’s great and all. But I have a fuckin big SUPPORT SYSTEM. My husband @soundguyryan took less studio gigs, so he could stay home with our son. My mom took less substitute teaching gigs, so she could watch her grandson. • I also sacrifice time with my son, but I know it means we’ll have more quality time later. Plus it makes me appreciate and be present in the time we do have together. • I don’t have a balanced life because of my own doing. Probably the opposite! 🤣 • When I’ve had a rough day, my husband encourages me to go leave and workout. “I’ll watch Stinx - go take care of yourself.” That’s love. My favorite time of the year is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate than with a warm cup of hot cocoa in Christmas pjs?!!!!!🎅🏽 (yes I bought a Christmas robe and socks today 😂) . Ya girl loves all the holiday treats and I’m sure you do too, so I thought I’d share my healthy alternatives with you❤️ here’s one of my faves that takes less than 5 minutes to make! seriously tastes exactlyyyy like hot chocolate minus the loaded sugar + calories. . HEALTHY HOT COCOA☕️ Ingredients: 1 cup almond milk 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder 1 tablespoon honey 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pinch of sea salt cinnamon whipped cream Instructions: 1️⃣Combine all ingredients into saucepan and stir until smooth 2️⃣Pour into a mug and serve warm immediately 3️⃣top with dairy-free whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon And thereeee you have it, a healthy holiday sweet treat! In the past I would workout & constantly remind myself that I wasn’t at my goal. I kept a negative mindset in my training and throughout the day. I never gave myself a break. I was always mentally drained. My relationship with workout & eating was always so negative. Mindset is just as important as working out, so don’t forget to train your mind also. Perspective is everything. ⠀ You can’t constantly think you’re not at your goal or your training will be absolutely miserable and most likely you will give up. Be proud each day you’re working on yourself even if it’s a rest day or a day that didn’t go as particularly you had planned. Life is crazy, we can’t control everything, but we can control how we react. The best advice I ever received is fall in love with the process💗. It’s going to worth so much more with struggle and hard work. Never give up. I want to prevent you from making the same mistakes I did so I thought I would share this helpful chart! While it’s totally great to treat yourself to fun drinks, make sure what you’re drinking on a daily basis is nourishing you, not depleting you ❤️ . Water 💦 should always be a priority on your list because even mild dehydration (1-3% of body weight) can impair many aspects of brain function plus trigger headaches and migraines in some individuals. I always start my day with anywhere from 16oz-32oz water since you essentially wake up dehydrated from the night. If drinking enough water is not a habit for you yet, try setting reminders on your phone to drink every 2 hours or keep a full bottle at your desk! . Other high quality drinks to add to repertoire are protein shakes (feel free to add your own fruit at home since that’s the good kind of sugar paired with fiber), lower-sugar kombucha, teas, coffee and actually green green juices!

Changing baby schedules means changing workout schedules. Oliver's going to bed around 7:30 lately so after he nursed and got a bath, I jumped on the treadmill for a quick run. I personally love exercising and hitting the gym even when I’m away on holiday. Training is such a normal part of my life it’s like brushing my teeth 😂 whenever we go away we love exploring new gyms or finding cool outdoor adventure walks! . . So here’s 3 good reasons to exercise while on holiday 👇🏼 . 1 - Endorphins make you feel great! 2 - Its a part of normal routine so continuing it will keep those habits in place and you won’t have fallen off the wagon completely when you get home 3 - Because you genuinely enjoy training! (find a kind of exercise that you love and then it’s not a chore but a hobby instead) . .
