New series ‘No Escape’ 🧡 Loving yourself is where it all starts. You might think ’Yeah yeah, that’s cliche’, but things are cliche when they’re true. You will only understand the meaning of them when you really FEEL them. I only started loving myself not so long ago. I wasn't even aware of the fact that I didn't before. It was a habit to talk myself down, forcing myself to do things because ‘i had to do’. Was always so hard on myself. Told myself i wasn’t good enough in so many ways. Always looking for confirmations and love of others. But all of this time, that love was already inside myself. In my own heart. It took me a long time to realise that. Some deep diving work in my own thoughts and the believes. Where came all of these self limiting beliefs from? Why did i started thinking about myself in such a negative way? Understanding what or who caused these thoughts made me understand myself better. From there I was able to shift this negativity in positivity. 👉 Honnêtement, je suis pour l’alimentation saine. Je suis du genre à sélectionner mes aliments et à honorer ma santé. ⠀ 😅 Mais je n’ai plus envie de me mentir à moi-même. Les recettes classiques, revisitées en version saines sont moins savoureuses. ⠀ 🙏 En te donnant la permission de manger une part d’un vrai gâteau chocolat, tu serais surpris.e de voir à quel point ton obsession pour la nourriture peut se résorber. ⠀ 😅 Même si la version « healthy » de ton plat/dessert semble mieux honorer ta santé... Ton appétit, lui, n’est pas pleinement satisfait. Si tu as envie d’un brownie intense, pourquoi te tourner vers un brownie healthy ? ⠀ 😣 En n’honorant pas ton réel appétit, tu auras encore plus envie de brownie. Au final, c’est le brownie qui va prendre le pouvoir sur toi. C’est ce qui fait que tu vas potentiellement manger plus. Ou de manière compulsive. ⠀ 😱 Ça peut paraître effrayant, mais c’est de cette manière que j’arrive à manger 1 biscuit (et pas le paquet entier). C’est ainsi que mon total calorique n’explose plus. La permission de manger m’autorise aussi à moins manger et à oublier la nourriture 🙏 Liberté ! ⠀ Ps : dans le cadre d’intolérances alimentaires ou divers problèmes de santé, les recettes revisitées ne sont pas concernées, au contraire ✌️

LA PAURA... Siamo proprio sicuri che sia solo una nemica da temere?! Quando ci troviamo davanti a un pericolo grande e reale è proprio la paura che ci permette di sopravvivere. Ecco allora che diventa un’emozione positiva, in quanto reazione emotiva che ci fa attivare risposte per affrontare la situazione di pericolo. Oggi più che mai facciamo bene ad avere paura (paura si ma non panico o ansia generalizzata, per i quali è meglio chiedere aiuto). Riconoscere e accettare la paura è l’unica strada per poterla affrontare e, grazie a questa attivazione cognitiva e comportamentale, sapremo fronteggiare il pericolo in modo più corretto, senza sottovalutarlo o ignorarlo. Certo avere paura non è bello, non ci fa stare bene...ma se si tratta di una paura reattiva e funzionale non dobbiamo negarla, bloccarla o soffocarla. ⁣⁣ 🎨 Zentangles 🎨 ⁣⁣ Credit to @leslielies, an #OT at #Hopkins ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 🦠 I’m home on #quarantine and my usual job is a #pediatricOT on an #inpatientpsychunit teaching kids skills such as getting along, #copingskills, following directions, and being respectful. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 🏠 I think we all could use some practice with these skills during a time of #socialdistancing #quarantine and #shelterinplace. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So, I trialed this #OTcraft on 📱#facetime with my #nieces ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ #Zentangles have very little strucure, hardly any rules, and there’s no right or wrong way to do them.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ❤️ I love #Zentagles because⁣⁣ - You can do them anywhere ⁣⁣ - You can fully pay attention to the zoom call/the work meeting/the teacher while doing so⁣⁣ - They are calming and relaxing, with the perfect hint of creativity⁣⁣ - It’s impossible to make a mistake ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I made the following rules:⁣⁣ - Share materials⁣⁣ - Ask nicely⁣⁣ - There are no mistakes⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ For my #OT viewers, I threw in some in-the-moment practice and education about:⁣⁣ #respect ⁣⁣ #socialskills ⁣⁣ #followingdirections ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 💰 💵 It was like I paid these girls to give me the answers to my questions, they were spot on! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Funny how engaging kids in #meaningfulactivities provides them the best opportunity, motivation, and ability to learn and work on all the above listed skills. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Just kidding, #occupationaltherapists knew this all along. 😜 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 💫 Kids don’t learn from lectures about respect. They learn by given opportunities to practice through #structuredactivities.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The girls demonstrated ways they could...⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ❔Ask for help kindly⁣⁣ 🗣Express how they’d feel if someone grabbed a marker from their hand⁣⁣ 🧩Problem solve what they could do if they thought they made a mistake ⁣⁣ 👑Tell someone nicely they didn’t like what they were doing⁣⁣ - i.e. my sister breaking it down to some jams in the background ❌💃🏻⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We covered #emotions, #communication, and #socialskills in less than #5minutes without them even noticing. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Tip: Kids don’t always need us to intervene during arguments, the learning can come from #managingconflict on their own. On continue avec les recettes simples.... La mousse au Chocolat 200gr blancs (6pcs) 60gr sucre 120gr chocolat noir. Perso je prends le bassam 69% de chez @chocolatweiss Mettre votre chocolat à fondre au bain-marie ou au micro-ondes. Il doit chaud mais pas brulant (40°C env.) Pendant ce temps faites monter vos blancs jusqu à qu ils soient bien fermes. À mi-foisonnement ajouter le sucre. Incorporer à peu près 1/4 des blancs dans votre chocolat et mélanger. Vous devez obtenir une sorte de ganache. Versez ensuite cette ganache dans le reste des blancs et mélanger à la maryse rapidement avant que le chocolat ne fige. Versez dans votre recipient au mettre au frigo pendant 2h. Décorez et degustez... “Dove le parole non arrivano... la musica parla” . . Ci sono giornate in cui è difficile trovare le parole giuste, quelle che possano far “ del bene” a tutti , forse non esistono. . Sono giorni in cui mi risulta complesso interfacciarmi su questo canale, nel rispetto delle situazioni di ognuno. . Allora L unica cosa che possiamo fare a volte è non parlare e ascoltare della musica. . Tu lo fai? . Perché ci può far stare meglio? La musica ci aiuta ad auto-regolare le nostre emozioni: può cambiare,mantenere o modificare le nostre emozioni, aiutare a rilassarci. . Il tutto non è casuale entra come sempre in gioco il nostro cervello, i nostri ormoni, che modificano i nostri ritmi fisiologici: il nostro battito cardiaco rallenta e cambia la nostra emozione. . . ✨Sunshine Roller✨ Sometimes we all get a little sad, even when we are grateful, even when we are positive, even when we are believers. That’s just life. That’s just human nature. I used to “get in my feeeeels” way too much and stay in them. It definitely wasn’t healthy and I would feel handicapped. Our minds are SO POWERFUL. I’m thankful for natural tools to help snap me out of a bad mindset or a sad feeling, Alhamdulilah. “Feelings are much like waves, you can’t stop them from coming, but you can choose which ones you want to surf.”....Unknown How is everyone feeling? My feelings literally feel like waves. I’ve felt ups and downs daily. . 😊...happy to be home safe with my family . 😬...anxious about whether we have enough food in the house & about going out shopping in public. . 😱...fearful about how long we’ll be in quarantine & how long this pandemic will last . 🙏🏽...grateful for all those who work the front line whether it be a doctor, nurse, grocery cashier, delivery person, or any of the other ‘essential’ workers. . 😔...sad that my 50th birthday cruise will definitely not be happening this year...not sure if I’ll even be able to celebrate in public by that point. . 😡...mad at myself for not exercising at home as much as I should...for stress eating too much... . 😢...missing out on fun with extended family & friends...not going out to eat, out to movies, or just regular shopping (yeah, yeah, I know I can still grocery shop). . 😑 . It’s really hard in a time like this to be always be happy and positive. It’s something new for us all, and no one knows how long this pandemic will last, or how long we will remain quarantined. We will all go through many emotions, and it is completely normal. We are human with feelings. I guess we need to embrace the new normal and just pray that everyone follows the protocol.
