Just wanted to let everyone know, it’s ok, not to be ok at the moment. There are so many things, maybe too many things, about staying positive, which is important, but if you can’t do or feel this, that’s ok too. Don’t add more guilt to yourself, by feeling like everyone is doing better than you, it’s unnecessary and it isn’t helpful. Just allow yourself to sit with the emotions and process them.
Do what you have to do, to get through the day. Feeling sad that things you love to do are cancelled, is absolutely ok. These things are what keep us going and keep us looking forward and without them, life can actually suck.
I have no plans today, other than a walk and I’m trying not to feel guilty. If I watch trashy tv all day, so be it! I’ve cooked all weekend, to bury my feelings but need to acknowledge them today, so turning my mind off in front of the tv, may allow my brain to process.
Be kind to yourself as we all navigate this unknown world, the best we can.
