I find family dynamics so fascinating, particularly when I am working with clients in their homes.🏠
Whatever my client is trying to repress, the children and the family dynamic as a whole will express it.
The work that I did with Bridget and her family was a beautiful example of this.
Bridget wanted to work and transform her stuck places but it felt very confronting for her.
As soon as I arrived, the family dynamic played out how she was feeling.
What Bridget was repressing, the children were expressing.
The children continually needed more and more attention. More questions, more requests, more snacks etc. which took Bridget away from the work that we were doing.
It was a beautiful distraction for Bridget, an escape, an excuse to not to have to be there.
Knowing that all the behaviour that is being displayed is purposeful and regulatory, I leaned in further, observed, acknowledged, supported and held space for Bridget.
It is my job to work with the ‘stuckness’, what feels most uncomfortable, the stories, the patterns and the habits that drive my clients’ behaviour.
I listen, acknowledge and provide support because I know that working through everything that the stuck places in your home stimulate is hard work.
I leave my judgments and the way that I do things in my home, at the door and come in with an appreciation for everyone and for all the roles that are playing out.
Are you ready to stimulate your stuck places?
Are you ready to face what feels uncomfortable and move through those areas in your home that feel hard?
Are you ready to shed some of the layers of items in your home that are no longer serving you?
Are you ready to make room for the abundance to flow in?
Come on a journey with me to transform your stuck places and liberate your life! 🏠
