"Headspace, alive and painless. Weightless and almost sane..."
Here's one from the local guys. I absolutely love the first two releases from these guys, including their sophomore: Scenery And Fish. This is probably my 3rd or 4th cd purchase ever when I had started collecting music in 1996. I had just turned 13 and I Mother Earth was one of the biggest bands from Toronto with the likes of Our Lady Peace and Moist at the time. Out of those three, however, I enjoyed IME the most because they had a metallic tinge to their sound especially on their debut release. They had mellowed out a bit on Scenery, with more of an alternative rock sound.
Fun fact: when I was in a band back in the early 2000's we would go to a rehearsal space in Toronto aptly named The Rehearsal Factory. If you are/were in a band from Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area and didn't have your own space to rehearse, you would be quite familiar with the Rehearsal Factory. In fact, a lot of these "popular" bands from Toronto like I Mother Earth, etc. have been known to use Rehearsal Factory to get ready for a tour or recording.
Lastly, their entire back catalog desperately need vinyl rereleases!
