It's #introductionfriday and I want to tell you about this girl.⠀ ⠀ She's 22. Newly graduated from her honors program which has finally FINALLY bestowed upon her the honor of that ring. Up until that point, she'd never worked harder for anything in her life. The ring is engraved with the words "Bonum Verum Pulchrum" - Latin for "Goodness Truth Beauty" - the three things she has spent the last four years tirelessly pursuing in her reading, her writing, her orientation to the world, her relationships, her worship. As she considers what's next and prepares to launch into the world, she wonders how these years of formation will be used by God to shape the next space she lives and works and moves. She is prepared to do big things. I mean BIG things.⠀ ⠀ All these years later, I look back at this girl and smile and cringe and want to give her a hug. There are probably a good number of things I'd change about how I spent my college time, but one thing I definitely WOULD NOT change is my decision to go to the Torrey Honors Institute (@torreyhonors ) at @biolauniversity ⠀ ⠀ "Jesus Heals" is dedicated to my THI mentor and to the other amazing faculty and staff of the program. Their commitment to "whole soul" development - head, heart, and hands - has continued to impact me to this day and I'm forever grateful for their dedication and diligence.⠀ ⠀ I recently had the opportunity to do a quick interview with THI, reflecting on my journey from bright-eyed college grad to tired-eyed mom founding Catechesis Books and how my time at Torrey shaped me and prepared me for this calling. The interview is linked in my profile if you're interested!
