Sometimes it’s better to do LESS. ✨
Last month Matt and I spent a week in Rome. We slept in until noon at least three out of the six days we were there. We had a completely flexible schedule. We DIDN’T go inside the Colosseum. We DIDN’T have gelato everyday. We DIDN’T even leave Rome for the whole week. So many others told us these were things we HAD to do. Get a Colosseum tour, visit the catacombs, wave to the Pope mobile, travel all over the country and see as much as possible.
We had the best time doing so much less.
At the end of 2018, my goal was to learn Amazon and be an FBA QUEEN. I spent a good 4 months learning, scanning, prepping, shipping, and stressing. All while still keeping up with Poshmark and eBay. It wasn’t long before I discovered that Amazon was not my thing.
And it was a HUGE relief to let Amazon go.
Now that I’m a year out from that (and still working on selling off old Amazon inventory 🤦♀️), I’m continuing to hone in on what parts of reselling bring me the most joy and what other things I can DO LESS of.
Things I DON’T do:
•include a thank you note
•wrap in tissue paper and ribbon
•include a free gift
•post measurements in my listings anymore (GASP!)
Oh, and items are still selling. Steadily. Measurement-free. 💪🏼
What I’m saying here is that you need to find what works best for YOU. Just because others are crushing it on Amazon or ThredUp, or others ALWAYS provide measurements, that doesn’t mean that it needs to be part of your business model if it’s not providing a worthwhile return on your time and effort!
Keep moving forward with what feels right for you. If that means doing LESS, then do less! Follow that joy and good things will follow! ❤️
