Reposted from @productionmusiclive (@get_regrann) - Sometimes we want to produce a track, but we just can’t come up with a cool original idea right from the start. In situations like these we like to get started with some kind of recipe and take it from there. Eventually creativity will start to take over and you can not fit all your motifs into the track.
So whenever you have the feeling of: „man, I need to make another House track“, you could start with the following steps.
Of course as always - you can initiate the process with any kind of routine, as long as you have one. Create routines, then break them and get creative.
1 pick an organ sound
2 load MIDI chord FX
3 setup with different shifts
4 layer with donk bass (Done Bass tutorial in the feed)
5 add open hi hat (probably one of the most important elements for House music)
6 automate decay
7 add rest of the beat - kick and claps
8 add bongos and some ambient sample
9 apply heavy sidechaining
As you can see, a routine can help to get started - sometimes not more than 5 elements and a few steps to tweak.
If you want to use the sounds from todays post - swipe up in the story and get the new ‚Deep Premium Pack 3‘.
