Sit comfortably with a straight spine.
Deep breath in.
Forceful exhalations through the nose with a focus on contraction of the abdomen/lower belly. Do this by pulling the navel in towards the spine.
Let the abdomen relax as air naturally falls back in.
Do as much as you comfortably can.
The exhalation and inhalation should be even in depth and volume.
