I heard someone say they wanted to delete Instagram for Valentine’s Day because they couldn’t handle seeing everyone happy when it was all they wanted.
I love seeing everyone happy. Happy new couples spending their first Valentine’s Day together. Happy couples who have stood the test of time, spending their 30th Valentine’s Day together. Happy new parents with their newest little loves. Happy groups of best friends who spent the day celebrating each other and enjoying each other’s company. Seeing blessings and joy in the lives of others should never be a discouragement; it’s a huge encouragement! I mean, how much more discouraging would it be to never see love exist around us? Think about it— the same God who made them is the same God who made you. The same God who holds their lives is the same God who holds yours. He doesn’t play favorites. He is a good father to all and He only gives good gifts. The same God pouring blessings on them is the same God pouring blessings on you. Seeing other people’s blessings is a source of hope and not defeat.
You are less lonely than you think. Your life is full of love, even if it looks differently than you thought it should’ve.
I love love, you guys. Hope you all had the BEST day. 📸: @makennabrookephoto
