Vegan Milk alternatives reviews : Here at Juicy Lucy’s, we take health quite seriously and we’ve tried all the milk alternatives out there. We LOVE @besproud Pea Protein Milk, which I discovered last week in our new and wonderful local store @thekensalstore last week is tasty, not too creamy and froths well for your morning coffee. It’s a good source of protein, and there are not too many ingredients in there. However, there is agave syrup in there so make sure you limit your intake as it’s a secret sugar (one you wouldn’t immediately assume is there). The Koko Super milk is very creamy, very tasty but loads more in the ingredients list (scroll through the pics and you’ll see). It’s yummy, although it’s quite rich and frothing it for coffee often turns into a stiff (almost egg-white consistency). Great if you’re unwell or need a boost in your diet as it contains B12 and a few others. Sustainability: Coconut drinks (milks, waters etc) have increased in production over the last decade and is now affecting the local communities who are struggling to cope with demand and prices are being driven down (in local areas) but obviously driving prices up in the supermarkets over here due to the “trend” and the rise is veganism in the Western world. Consumerism is a very tricky balance to uphold. Pls check where your products are coming from and do some research so you are in the know about how your shopping habits can affect the planet. We are all becoming more aware of the impact we are having worldwide and I urge you to all try a new product and shop more locally if you can, but whether it’s Oat, Coconut, Almond, Soya, Pea or TigerNut - do your research and see where it comes from and if you’re shopping responsibly. #juicylucysballs #juicylucyskitchen #milkalternatives #peaprotein #coconutmilk #planetwatch #sustainability #healthylifestyle #yogalifestyle #fitness
