you may or may not have seen the video of ben’s surprise dinner on my story last night, but wowwwwza what an amazing night. so grateful for such an amazing friend group, but also so grateful to be at a place in life where I can fully enjoy those experiences without worrying about drinks, what I eat, etc.. AND still feel good the next day.
HOW DO I DO IT?
I see the situation for exactly what it is and nothing more 👏🏼 what do I mean? for example, last night I was drinking mojitos. in the past I may have been thinking that drinking will ruin my “progress,” “mojitos have sugar,” “I should be productive on a wednesday night & not downtown,” etc.. I would create these expanded stories of something that was very simple. the reality is that I was drinking mojito because I like mojitos and I was enjoying time on my boyfriend’s birthday while making an amazing memory, haha.
if you go out and eat pasta and then talk to yourself for 2 days about “how bad” the pasta is it takes away TOTALLY from being able to just ENJOY the experience. the reality was that you wanted pasta during a nice dinner so you ate pasta. period! & the next day you can choose to see it simply as that and just move on with how you’d usually go about the day.
ENJOY the experience in the moment & then allow it just be that. a moment that you thoroughly enjoyed, made an amazing memory from, and now get to look back on it with gratitude. 🖤 -
